Decommissioned: May 27, 2005 at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

Fate: Struck from the Naval Register, 27 May 2005.

Final Disposition: sunk as a target during a Missile Exercise by USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG-81), 12 April 2007, off Pensacola, Florida.
